Eye patch: is strabismus permanent? It is injected into the eye muscles, where its effects can persist for several months and frequently result in long-term alterations in the way the eye muscles operate. This helps to restore ocular parallelism by means of a less invasive surgical procedure.

It may be mild or moderate pain following surgery, which can be relieved with an analgesic. Conjunctival hyperemia may last for a few weeks, and this is very common and normal.  The patient normally returns to normal activities within a few days, although this may be different depending on the complexity of his condition.
